The class atlas
Where the one-design classes are
196 one-design classes, placed in the 30 countries their own class associations say they are actively raced in. Shading is how many classes we hold a record for — a coverage map of our survey, not a census of the sport. A blank country means we have nothing, not that nobody sails there.

What this map cannot show
33 entries in the survey name a place we could not put on a map — a region rather than a country, or a spelling we have not matched yet (global (10), others (6), Asia (2), Caribbean (1), EUR (1), international (1), international niche (1), Mid-Atlantic (1)). They are counted nowhere on this map rather than guessed into a country. Separately, 48 classes carry a published flat price on our one-design list; that list, not this map, is where you find what a sail costs.
